Nickerson Construction established in 1965 by William D. Nickerson. His son Shane took over the business in 1993. Nickerson Construction delivers quality commercial and industrial roofing services at a reasonable cost for customers in Pennsylvania and New York.
Our primary type of work is installing the Duro-Last Roofing System which is ideal for commercial and industrial buildings with flat roofs and low-sloped roofs. The product is prefabricated, reinforced thermoplastic single-ply roofing system. It is a complete mechanically-attached roofing system with all accessories included. It is leak-proof, virtually maintenance-free and resistant to fire, chemicals and high winds. Plus it offers the industry's best warranty. The white Duro-Last Roofing System is energy-efficient, reflecting over 86% of the sun's energy and reducing utility costs for building owners. Every Duro-Last Roof project is inspected by a quality assured inspector and issued a 15-year warranty covering 100% material and labor.
For five consecutive years, Nickerson Construction has been a Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. Quality Award Winner and selected as Elite Master Contractor for "The World's Best Roof".
Ninety-five percent of our services are directly with owner and five percent with general contractors.
Sales
Nickerson Construction sales volume from January 2004 to January 2006 was $1.4 million with the potential of $1.8 million sales in 2006 alone. The potential growth in the next three years will depend on the economy and its impact on the construction industry. The North Central Region of Pennsylvania has been selected by the Governor's office as one of the areas for economic development and tax incentives for business expansion. This initiative along with new interstate highway completion will be an incentive for business growth which can favorably impact our sales volume over the next 3-5 years.
The reputation of Nickerson Construction as an Elite Master Contractor with continuous outstanding inspection rating (95%) from one our key suppliers, Duro-Last, Inc., world's largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, will also be a favorable factor in maintaining sales volume.

Nickerson Construction key personnel have 10- to 40-years experience in the construction industry including the owner, VP sales, and foremen that have been with the company since its inception.
Risk Management
Nickerson Construction has agreement in place with Life-long employee, Vice President of Sales - William Nickerson to continue operations for contract completion. This staff member has an excellent reputation in both residential and commercial construction trade circles and is authorized to approve all business transactions in absence of owner.
